Passport & Visa Requirements for This Itinerary

Important: You must have a valid U.S. passport to travel on this voyage. Passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your planned trip dates. For the most up-to-date visa information, all guests including non-US citizens and green card holders should seek advice from their respective embassy, consulate or Travel Agent to determine which documents are needed prior to departure.

Visa is required for: Australia (ETA, Electronic Travel Authorization), China*, Vietnam (label visa only, E-Visa is not valid for this cruise itinerary), Cambodia (label visa only, E-Visa is not valid for this cruise itinerary), India (both M/E label and E-Visa will be valid for this itinerary), Sri Lanka (ETA), Turkey (ETA, Electronic Travel Authorization) and Cuba. Given the limited validity of the Sri Lanka E-Visa (60 days), visa details will be transmitted to the Purser’s Desk on the ship before arrival in Sri Lanka. US passport holders visiting New Zealand after October 1, 2019, will be required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA or e-Visa waiver) for visa-free entry into New Zealand.

U.S. citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays less than 90 days to enter United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, French Polynesia and with stay less than 30 days, visa is not required to enter Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia. Arrangements for Jordon and Oman visas will be made by Viking Cruises on board the cruise ship. **Non-US passport holders may need a Thailand visa prior to departure, please confirm with your local passport office.

Note: Viking is not responsible for obtaining visas nor for advising guests of passport, visa or other immigration requirements, so be sure to verify what is needed for your travels. You may be denied boarding or entry to some counties if you have not obtained the correct visas or documents prior to departure. Viking cannot provide any refunds for unused portions of your cruise/hotel stay or cost to change travel plans should you have missing or incomplete documents.
